| i'm sure i'm on the right track for an MCSE 2000 certification. My friend tells me this is not so...you determine for me....
i've completed 4 core exams namely:
70-210
70-215
70-217
70-216
i've completed 1 design exam namely:
70-219
and for my two electives i've chosen:
70-220
70-221
My friend tells me that i can't do those electives because they are design exams...but i say i can do them because they are also listed as electives on:
http://www.microsoft.com/learning/m...equirements.asp
Tell me! who's correct me or my friend?

| What you have done/are doing is fine. Those design exams count as electives. what you can't do is count one exam as both a core design exam as well as an elective exam. ie you can't use one exam twice. | |

| My suggestion is, drop one of those exams and take 218 instead.
That way you'll have your MCSA and MCSE.

| I agree with Curious. JMHO | |
|
| I agree with CG as well. | |

| In reference to CG's comment.
I would recommend losing 70-220 from your list and taking 70-218 in its place. Designing Security for a Win2k
infrastructure is a little difficult, unless you are already a security admin or have an extensive security background.

| great suggestion Tekhead79, cuz i've checked out 70-220 and you're absolutely right, it looks tough...so that's d one i've decided to drop...and i'll take up 70-218 to become both MCSE and MCSA certified. i'll also be doing 70-221 as my other elective.
thanx for d help guys! |
