| I am new to Outlook and I have accidentally set up a mailbox under my name and a second
one under Outlook today personal folders. I would like to merge these two into one because some of my older mail is in one while my newer mail is in the other.
Any suggestions on how I coud do this?

| Please elaborate. I believe you are using Office Outlook as opposed to Outlook Express. You can have more than one e-mail account, however if you want to have all your mail together, go to File|Import and Export, and move your old mail to your new account. | |

| Open the folder under Outlook today. Highlight the first message, then hold your shift key and click on teh last message. Right click and toward the bottom of the menu you'll see "move to folder" Click on that and select "Inbox"
That will move them all back to your inbox. All your incoming mail is coming into your inbox.
HOwever, consider keeping that folder and using it as sort of a "holding pen" for email messages that need your attention, because your inbox WILL get full if you don't do housekeeping on it. I have a holding pen for my own email and one for my boss's email, and his is further subdivided into categories and sender names. I save what I need and delete or journalize the rest, so the holding pen is just a place to keep it until I get a spare hour to deal with it all.

| You could try using a fun e-mail client - Incredimail is highly recommended by me. It's latest version contains junk mail filter and the ability to bounce back to senders unwanted e-mail.
It is powerful and only recommended for personal use.
Incredimail.com
Eudora is handy.
Filters out e-mail into set boxes seperately.
Personal use again.
Eudora.com
Just mentioning cos I kinda like e-mails.

Outlook does that, you can block some senders.

Outlook does that, too, using a Rules wizard.
I dislike Eudora because it doesn't play well with the other children. It doesn't like OUtlook at all, unless it receives Outlook's messages in plain text only. So outlook users have to remember which of their recipients are Eudora users, otherwise they get a message that says "cannot read winmail.dat" This means that your fancy signature block with a comptia logo (like mine) is worthless to my Eudora-using recipients.
