Just droppin by and a lil story to tell....

| Well hey everyone. Just droppin by to say what's up and to encourage all you test takers and MCSEs-to-Bes out there keep doing your best. Although I have retired from the certification scene I would like to share a simple story some will laugh and some will cringe.
December 6, 2003 was a great day. I passed 70-292 to become charter MCSA on 2K3.
Well December 31, 2003 was a glorious day, perhaps better than January 1st, 2004. I passed 70-296 and became a charter MCSE 2K3.
And all was fine with the world. And so life goes on (yes there is life after your final certification, a less stressful one!)
So began the wait for my final certifications.
January... nothing....
Feburary... nothing....
March - called Microsoft and they hadnt ordered my charter cert. They sent it out promptly.
April - MCSA Charter received.
May .... nothing... called microsoft and told them i had not received my MCSE charter cert. They apologized and said they sent it out.
June... nothing
July - I get the certificate but it wasnt my charter MCSE it was a generic MCSE. I was pissed. I called Microsoft and one of their reps told me I hadnt achieved my charter membership. I went nuts. I said get me on the phone with someone who will verify. So they transferred me over. Finally after investigation they indeed confirmed I had it. So some guy Bobby swore up and down they would send it out. Lets hope so because 8 months to get a piece of paper is quite rediculous.
And thats the story folks =D
Everything else has been good.
I hope its the same for everyone else.

| Here was me thinking this little tale was going to be about how a picture frame had dropped from the wall knocking you unconcious thus explaining your absence from the forums.
But full marks for a thoroughly good read, had me on the edge of my seat for hours. | |
