The trains in NY are faster, run all night, and are more convenient than driving.
the green line in boston should be destroyed. the B line has about 45 stops on comm ave when about 10 will do (do we really need BU north BU south BU main...the school isn't that fregin big)
there are no middle poles to hold onto when the train is packed. it is free when your headed outbound though. Much like a high school newspaper, things that are worthless are usually free.
what kind of mass transit stops running at 12:30? if you lived north of boston and commuted south of boston. You took the commuter rail, and there wasn't a direct link to the subway, you had to leave the station to take the orange line or red line to south station. look at the maps of boston subways and it's clear that they were designed by a feckless scumbag.
the worst things you deal with in NY subways are sick passengers, minor delays. park street in boston makes the Union Square stop seem like the wave of the future.
in my experience:
London has the best "undergroud" mass transit
followed by NY subways

How about the town of Merrimack, NH that I stayed in? They had like 1 police curiser parked in the same place every day. The guy never shut off his RADAR gun so it wasn't hard for me to find him. I think there are like 17 cops total in that dept. | |
