Local Policy Problem

| I need some help. I have been all over Google trying to find this answer. I have found many people with the problem, but no one has posted an answer to it.
I have a compaq laptop running Windows XP Home. It went to sleep one day, and when I woke it up, it asked me to enter a password. None of my accounts have passwords, so I just hit. It then told me that, "The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively." I restarted in Safe mode, trying to logon through Administrator, which also has no password. Same error response.
I inserted the Windows XP Home CD, started up from it, and did "Windows Set Up" and then "Repair." It went through the whole 39 minute installation where it proceeded to reinstall everything. When it was done, it brought me back to my login screen with my normal user names on it...asking for a password. I hit enter, without putting a password in, and...once again, "The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively."
Can someone help me with this? I can't do anything with my computer! I'm completely locked out. Thanks. | |

| If you have logon as Guest enabled (which I think is the default), try entering "Guest" as the user name with no password and then hit enter. While it won't give you Admin access, at least you can use the computer. | |

| I would like to try your suggestion, however, I can't change the user name. It only gives me a box to enter a password. The user names are already put in for me. Is there a way to be able to enter in a new user name? | |

| Okay, I tried to login as a guest but it told me that my account had been disabled. Any other ideas? | |
