| since the certification books are soo big (over 400 pages),how do you study them ?? do you start from the first page to the last or just flip through pages ,if you read from the first page to the last you end up either getting confused or lost and it's abit slow (due to the number of pages) you might waste alot of time and if u flip through pages you find or come across new terms and wonder where the hell they came from .
personally am hving trouble going through these books infact i prefer the practical side then the reading, can anyone advise on a better way to deal with these issue !! | |

| I take it one chapter at a time. I read it throught the first time, then reread it taking notes and marking important points that I want to review later. Charts that have to be memorized, I copy them down and carry them with me and work on memorizing them. This method has worked very well for me in my studies. | |

| Its easier to learn hands on. Just read the chapters that you find most interesting first. | |

| (Not Spam!) I use QoD.com. I use the questions to see what I need to learn & then go to the books. You can use that as a stopgap to substitute if you don't have access to the equipment you need right now to study.
Also using a tape recorder & reading the questions & answers to yourself uses several parts of the brain & increases retention.
I'm like Hooligan. I prefer hands on. I have memory & concentration issues due to medical problems so hands on in some form keeps my brain focused on the task. |
