Hotmail mailbox being supersized???

| Anybody here got a hotmail account for your spam? Microsoft just started sending out e-mails saying the mail box is increasing 125 times to 250Meg and outbound attachments to 10meg. Is this the start of a storage war with Yahoo or what. I guess the disk drive and SAN makers will be having a good year. | |

| imo it will have minimal affect.
since yahoo switched over, I've been staring at 0% of 2.0GB... 30% of 100 mb etc are a much more welcoming sight...
Plus, most ppl that will actually utilize that kind of storage would have their own little solution while htey were still stuck at 100mb, such as my 1.5 gig solution...
this, imo, is just fluff. that said, I think i will increase my holding of emulex... but man, storage has no future... | |

| hahaha 0% of 2GB. Thinking about it that is really kind of funny. Once upon a time allowing 10MB attachments would have gotten your site tagged as a file moving portal. Now no one cares. I guess you are right the days of storage being precious are really coming to an end as technology is quickly making it a non issue. | |
