| Hello
I'm using MS Visio to produce a network diagram and I want to link two or more text boxes (within the same diagram), such that if I update the text in one area, the other text boxes automatically update as well.
Can this be done?
I have tried the help files, but they only reference linking objects from other MS applications.
Cheers

Good question. I use Visio all the time. I could never get that done either.

Thanks PH.
I understand how to group them, but what do you mean by "apply to the group"?

| apply = select the group & apply to the group e.g. --> Format --> Text & set foramtting details (?)
i assume you are talking about formatting, if not what do you mean?

Thanks for the reply.
Quite specifically, what I am trying to do is this:
-- Two text boxes on the same drawing; edit the text in one box, and the other box automatically gets updated. --
Now, by linking these two text boxes, I should be able to achieve this. However, the help files only tell me how to achieve linking and auto-updating between Visio and another MS Office product, which I fully understand and have done previously.
Cheers. |
