bring back biblical times .... (that's what they really want) the taliban had it .....

| I've told my husband recently, in the unlikely event I'm ever in a position that I could be used as leverage, he needs to know that from the moment of capture I will have been making my peace with God and he is not to consider or urge negotiation. They will gain nothing from my death and my children gain from knowing that their mother died innocent of others' blood. Releasing terrorists for my exchange would put the blood of their victims on my hands.
I understand you're upset, darth, but when things like this happen it's not the time to do what comes naturally and show them that we're as bad as they are. It's terrible what they did. Our fellow participant from Canada is probably dancing with joy right now. How sad that people take pleasure inthings like htis. | |

| The Saudi's put on a face of friendship and alliance while encouraging their people to hate the sort of freedom and prosperity we enjoy, because if the masses in the Arab world ever got a taste of genuine freedom and individual achievement and personal rights and responsibility, they'd rise up and the Arab world would be turned upside down. The monarchies would tumble and the system of aristocracy and patronage would fall. So they foster this hatred of truly free countries in the name of religion because religion is really all the masses have.
I can't even get my husband to vote because he says his vote doesn't make a difference. I vote because people died to make sure I can vote, and not to vote is to voice disdain at their sacrifice. At least we CAN choose, and if we fall out of the belief that we CAN, eventually that will be taken from us.
Don't lose faith. The architecture of our government is good. The practices aren't always. But there is a higher power in charge, and He sometimes has to let bad people run their course so that the rest of the world comes to its senses. Not everyone will. But some will.
churches were full in teh weeks following 9/11. Some of those people are still attending. Many are not, but some are. | |

If saudiarabia converted to democracy 50 years ago, america would probably not be the power that it is, israel would probably not exist, and it is most likely that the real terrorists of the world would be wearing arab gear instead of u.s military uniforms.

a truly ridiculous conclusion... religious fanatics, be they muslim jew or evangelical christian, are the most abused slaves in the world, they are abused from within their own psyche's
you are not free. rent a motel or try boarding an airplane in 'the land of the free' without a credit card you are debtslaves that are spoonfed suicidal propaganda by homicidal maniacs at cnn and the white house.
america has been built on the backs of the countless masses of 'foreign' lands that have been subjugated in order to feed america with resources. (200,000 people 'disappeared' in el salvador during ronald reagans reign of terror.)
have you ever considered that they might not want to be 'free' like you because they realize that the lie of freedom that you sell can never happen for them? can you understand that they may be savvy enough to realize that your prosperity depends on their impoverishment?
do you think that they dont understand that you dont give a sh*t if they live or die, as long as you are comfortable?
do you think for one second that they dont see through the lies you seem to have been able to convince yourselves of? ask yourself who the good guys really are, and why... and then check for lies in your reasoning. for instance how are you any better than the guys who cut peoples heads off? are you even sure the u.s. military isnt already doing that too? how many children in iraq have had their heads blown of by bombs that you support the dropping of?
how many children are being killed every week in the country of laos, by previously undetonated cluster bombs that america dropped and hasnt bothered going back and cleaning up. do you expect that the people of laos have anything other than contempt for the people of america?
gw is advertising what great advances have been made in iraq, only he cant turn saddam over because its practically guarranteed he will escape.
with every day that america refuses to fix the screwups it has created in the world, with every day that it allows war criminals like arial sharon to freely rape and kill, with every step AWAY from the universal laws of human civilization that it takes, america spirals just a little bit further down the toilet.
