| Hey guys,
I am trying to figure out Symantec's Ghost 7.0. So far I have the multicast server setup and I think that is good so far. Now I am trying to get a boot disk made so it will work. The directions from Symantec say to use the Ghost Boot Wizard and it will walk you through the process, but I need to add a driver to the list it comes preloaded with. I got the .cab driver for the Intel PRO/1000 Network Driver. But when I add the driver, the server doesn't like what I have. I need an oem driver file or a Dos Packet DRiver (.com). I can't find either. Who can help me

| you just need to exact the .dos version of the driver | |
|
| Like enforcer said, extract the .dos packet driver from the .cab file (you can use winzip to do that). | |

| Thanks guys...
Now I have built the network boot disk but it is having a problem binding when it is loaded for multicast server. Anybody familiar with it? I have the Symantec manuals and am trying that right now

| I have followed the Wizards and the directions by Symantec but when I get the source computer to go to the ghost.exe program, the option for multitasking is greyed out. ANy thoughts | |

You are confusing me with terminology. Multicasting is the ability for the Ghost server to send images to multiple clients at the same time. You boot each client with a separate boot floppy.
Maybe the manual is not clear enough it has been a while since I used it.. Read this multicasting Symantic description |
