I've got an old work cd-imaged computer that has win2k and Office 2000 which I really like. The problem is since it's a prior work imaged cd/pc I can't re-install/re-package Office 2000 because its starts looking for all these files which are probably pointing to the old server. And that's the Office2k.msi file. Is there any way to work around that?

What I want to do is install Office 2000 from this imaged pc to another pc running XP. Do I have to just get sloppy and start moving all files related to Office 2000 over to the pc running xp?

Is there some way to re-package Office 2000 for a seperate install?

Or do I get sloppy?

Thanks,

I would suggest you purchase a copy of Office 2000.

Just copying the files won't work, there are many registry entries and also files which are put into the windows directory.
