| I have an issue with Xp Pro clients in a W2k domain. I have set up some batch files to run as sheduled tasks but after a period of time, they all say "could not start"and the task will not run. If I reset the password, they are ok again for a period of time.
The user account is an Admin on the local machine and a user in the domain. The user and password never change. The Xp boxes are always on and logged into the domain. These tasks need to run at night when the office is closed. They are primarily backups to a file server(W2K).
I have seen this same problem documented using Google, but the fix has always been to reset the password. This does work, or deleting the task and setting it up again works, but they always get to the "could not start" state eventually. I want to set these tasks and not have to keep resetting them. The amount of time they stop working has varied from a few days to a month or so.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any and all ideas.
