I have a Toshiba Laptop running XP Pro with a 900 or 1ghz P3 and 384 RAM. I believe the hard drive is a 20gb. This is actually not my computer, it is my cousin's laptop. When you press the ON Button, it comes up with the Boot/Start menu with all of the regular options for Safe Mode, Normal and Last Good Config. Whatever option you choose it will load the XP Boot page with the little blue scrolling bar and it will never get past that screen. If you let it go for about 7-8 minutes it will revert back to the boot menu. And I don't know how to enter the BIOS. Any ideas are very much appreciated.

You might want to insert the Windows XP disk and boot from that. If the boot completes ok, then run the repair utility. That should repair any corrupt files in the OS.

If I remember correctly you press F2 to enter setup on a Toshiba laptop.

To get to BIOS you'll have to press the Esc button at boot, then it will promt you to press F1. Try pressing F5 to go straight to your choices, may get more choices, if not F8. It sounds like you have a hardware compatability or driver problem. Try disconnecting hardware and booting them in one at a time.
