who cares,

1. tech over time = low end job, who cares.

2. firefighter/police/bus drive/civil servant overtime is an abuse of the system. Why are we paying them 1.5x for sitting by the rail eating donuts?

hire ppl instead of paying 1.5x and stop bitching about how you are all understaffed.

If you're in IT, plan on putting in plenty of overtime. Its just part of the job.

According to the article you pointed to, most of the people included in the group no longer guaranteed overtime pay aren't getting it anyway.

This proposal doesn't apply to JOe Sixpack working in the auto plant. It applies to his upstairs bosses, the ones who wear suits and ties and never venture onto the plant floor.

This is the proposed regulation, compared with the current regulation.
I feel fairly comfortable that I'm safe.
