| Does OE have a calendar like Outlook? If so how can I get it after OE is already installed. The latest version is installed.
What are some alternatives.

| OE is a mail program, not at all a counterpart or parallel to Outlook. There are several alternatives; Lotus makes one, Lotus notes, I think it's called. There are also a BUNCH of calendars that you can use online, they're free. (go to Google, type in free calendar) DayRunner makes software that has pretty much what Outlook has except for the email program; it has calendars, time management, etc., and you can get pages to print on to use in your hardcopy planner if you're not using a pda. I didn't like the day runner softward becuase I have and use outlook extensively. Franklin Covey makes software as well. I know FC also makes pda-synch software so you can use your FC full version with your FC PDA version with your FC hardcopy version, if you want to do all that.
Is that more than you wanted to know? Here's more.
Check your ISP's home page; a lot of isp's offer a personalizable home page that includes a calendar, to do list, reminders for birthdays, appointments, etc, and you can set them up to email you.
I still like the full version of OUtlook the best, because it integrates well with the rest of MS Office and keeps a journal of all your MS Office activities, like incoming and outgoing email, phone calls, tasks, and even which files you opened and how long you worked on them. If I'm thinking of something at work and I want to create a task out of it to do at home, I create a task in my task list and assign it to myself at my home email account. It sends me an email and at home I accept it and move it to my tasks. then I get an email at work and I'm constantly reminded of that task.
How's that? | |

| Edison couldn't spell, either! (but Tesla could--in both languages--go figure.) | |

Thunderbird has a plug-in you can download that gives you a calendar.
Take a look at Thunderbird here.

| Edison could spell. he simply didnt care to do so. He had an enormous view of himself and expected others to know what he meant. most of his mis-spellings was simply his version of abbreviations.
my great uncle worked with Edison; a very unpleasant man.

| I had heard that about him. We watched a PBS special on Tesla the other night and it told about what an arrogant SOB Edison could be, and downright dishonest as well when it served his purposes. | |
