| I gotsa quick queston for anyone in the know. I think I am going to take my server+ next. Do companies look at that cert as a big one, or is it just something to put on my resume? Also, what are some good books to study for that one. | |

| I have my Server+ cert. The only reason why I got it was because it was a requirement before I could get a contract to do an Active Directory deployment.
Other than that, I've never been asked about it and I hardly ever bring it up during an interview.
Unless a company REQUIRES you to have it, I think it's a waste of money. I can't remember, but I think the test costs around $250 (what a joke).
I just used the Exam Cram Server+ book. If you've worked on servers before, the exam isn't bad. If you haven't, it might be a little tough, but nothing compared to a M$ exam.
Hope that helps. |
