| Caps lock light will not come on when you press key. I have tried to switch keyboards and the new keyboard does the same thing. Any idea what is wrong? | |

| does the caps lock actually work?
if so, then heck with the light.
in microsoft office applications there is a caps lock indicator at the bottom of the pageframe.
also in office, i have seen several instances when the caps lock light was working in reverse. iow, when the light was on, the caps lock was off and vice versa.
other than that, if this occurs with several different keyboards, then i would say that the keyboard port is defective.
the only viable solution i would think is a move to USB. i wouldnt toss a MB for something as trivial as that | |

| You don't happen to have a bent pin on the keyboard jack, do you?
Check it out and let me know. happens a lot.
