Yeah possibly, sent her an e-mail which I guess is better....just asking if there was any news, have to wait and see.....guess I'd rather know either way.....

I know the feeling Spides, been there a trillon times and it ain't a comfort feeling in any way. I have learnt to just take things as they unfold in other words not stressing myself over things like interview. I tend to give it my best bet in the interview and then just hope for the best. Obviously, it's always nice to know either way after attending an interview. Keep your fingers crossed and all would be well. Best wishes

Cheers for the above guys, yep onoski, I guess it is because the interview was over a week ago and they did say they cannot make an offer until the 8th (today) because that is when the guy leaves.....the woman e-mailed me last week and said speak to you Monday, still waiting, man this is horrible.........I will be soooo gutted if I fail this time.......

After all that Enforcer I got the job............

Only one problem, had to be didn't there.........they have to have a reference from my Manager, basically I am not over the moon about that, basically because I don't want him to know I am leaving until I had my notice in.......basically they send him a questionare, and I don't think he'll be arsed to fill it out......plus they want to know my sickness which hasn't been the best with my partners illness, I've had a bit of time off but she's fine now......I was going to put down a colleague as my manager who I feel has been more a manager to me.......I have spoken to my manager twice in eight months and they were both hello!!!!!!!

Firstly, a big congratulations Spides well done. With regards to reference I would not worry so much about that it's your attitude and ability that counts and you've got thru the most trying part. I told you all would be well after all that stressing. A little faith here and there, congratulations again. Keep us posted on further progress

Nice one Spides.
As for the days off. There aren't that many, and if you have a decent explanation that you want to share with your new employer, hopefully they'll be understanding, especially if recovered.
I've had about 3 days off each of the last 3 years just to look after my 2 little girls when they've been sick and not had any problems.

Congrats mate, with regard the illness, average 1 day a month, but doesn't have a pattern. You should be alright as long as they give you chance to explain them.

What they would normally be worried about is 2-3 days or more per month on average, or a history of long term illnesses.

Your manager cannot be negative about you, he can only state facts. so I shouldn't worry.

Cheers for that guys, ironically enough two of the occasions were for interviews for the job!!!! Also I have spoke to my Manager twice in eight months, useless Manager, so Iwas going to suggest a colleague who I call for advice on problems etc......he knows me better than my Manager.....the other time off for my missus who has Chromes disease......she's better now....I think it will be cool....just don't want my manager to know I'm leaving until I had my notice in....

Top stuff Spides

Don't worry about the sickies. As someone has already said, so long as you can explain them as bona fide - no probs. I have had 3 days off in the last 27 months. One was a duvet day, one was a hangover from the Rugby World Cup and the other was genuine. I'll think of some way to explain the other two.

I'm still hanging to two possibles at the moment - both with ISPs. Had the first interviews yesterday and today. Just waiting for the second interview - the clincher. Both are local as well, paying about the same, so whichever crosses the finish line first will be my new job. (Unless Keiron Fallon's involved)
