Update on Interview

| Well I had the second Interview on Thursday and it went well....BUT....the money is still the same but they say the new role has changed a bit.....they want the person to concentrate more on desktop side of things.....I am not 100% what to do, the money is the same as what I am getting, plus is that I walk to work and it is flexi-time and awesome pension (local council so government based) just not sold on doing desktop, but I believe it could lead to better things.......only thing one of the three in the interview said he thought I was too technical for the role!!!! Not sure, I reckon I will take it if it's offered.........have to wait until next Monday to hear... | |

| Best of luck with that one mate.
I'm still looking!
I blew out on the last two interviews; the first one I failed cos I admitted to a few weaknesses and they turned that against me saying that I was perhaps too impatient with other people. I'm definitely NOT doing that again. If they ask again, I will say "no" cos I try to do my best at everything and if I do have a hidden weakness, then time will find me out. The second one was an absolute dream of a job; I couldn't have written a better job spec. Imagine this; working as a support engineer maintaining Cisco labs! Not just one, but 45 standard size racks packed to the gills with Cisco kit, and the real bonus, I would have needed to get myself trained up to the level required of the classes that were using that equipment. It was all there, everything I could possibly want or need to go all the way to CCIE, and beyond. B0ll1x! there were only four guys in the frame for three positions and I lost out by the tiniest of margins.
Oh well, Two more potential interviews this week; one local and one at Edgeware.
Keep smiling Hippo. They can't take you out and shoot you.

| Man that must of been hard Hippo, three positions and just missed out...I am the same, only me and another guy going for this position...I am bit peed that the role has changed but I guess once I'm in and can prove myself who knows...also sympathise with the interview scenarios....I had to give hardware and software conflict issues and my mind went blank, made up a load of crap........I am useless at interviews, I go to jelly.....chin up Hippo, hope the travel goes okay, i am working at Gt Portland St and the train is driving me mad....... | |

Damn that sounds too good to be true, paid to go for a CCIE. All the rack time that you can use etc. You must have been dreaming. Sorry to hear it but good luck on the two coming up.

Now on the above comment the answer is sure they can shoot you. Howvever remember to tell them that they may shoot you but they can't eat you because you are tough and stringy.

| Sorry Sexy Lexy should of posted on this one as well, and thanks for enforcer for being my secretary......
As you may see Lexy I got the job, thank god.......only slight worry but should be okay is that they want to formally write to my Manager, which I have nothing to hide.......Have to know if I am involved in a disciplinary etc which is all clear. I just didn't like him knowing I am going until I had the offer in writing and I officially handed my notice in.....now I have to like hand in a notice that I will be handing my notice in!!!!!
