My computer is currently set up on a home network. I have file sharing enabled but would like to set a password for allowing other computers on the network to access my files. Basically, I want other users to enter the correct password before using my files, programs, printer, etc. I was able to do this easily when I was running Windows ME, but I don't know how to do this on Windows XP. Anyone know how to accomplish this? Thanks.

Which version of XP do you have?

What will the clients be running?

I have Windows XP Professional. There are two other clients also using XP Pro and one using Windows 2000.

First of all you have to disable simple file sharing (folder options).
Create a group (computer managment>local users and groups) how will have access to the shared folders, create the users (computer managment>local users and groups and put them into the group, share the folder and set the permissions to allow the created group to have access.
