Well it is the 2nd with 6 minutes to go so I think you are all wrong. The bud light commercials are way over the top. We have a guy in a kilt doing Monroe over the subway vents and burning horse farts in a snow sleigh, whats next. They should bring back the frogs.

I didn't watch the half time show but I have seen the pic. I wonder about it not being intentional you should see his face

Man in certain chat rooms, that halftime incident overshadowed the actual game. It's all people are talking about, LOL.

Article on this super streaker
DaDnDe

2004-02-02, 6:10 pm

well it looked to me that the routine they were performing had ended and they were in a still pose for a few seconds then Timberlake reached over and removed said item of clothing.

the act appeared deliberate and planned.
if it wasnt, why then did the article come off so easily??.

there was no zipper, button, string, nothing holding it on. it appears to have been fastened on by velcro. it also appears that the other side does not come off the same way.

what can I say?, it looks staged to me.

what we need is someone who videotaped it to post it so we can EXAMINE the situation further...

Do ya's think that maybe NOW this team will get a little respect?! They truly ARE America's team! "Patriots", the red, white,&blue, play in Massachusets, the birthplace (or one of 'em) of America....!

As I expected, a tough defensive game, somewhat boring 1st qtr, and I was really hoping it wouldn't come down to Adam's foot again, especially after the 2 blown kicks - what happened to mrPerfect?? I was a tad concerned, but once again, they found a way to stand their ground and Win!! 2-time SuperBowl Champs, in 3 years!!!!

New England: We have 6 states, 4 seasons, miles of coastline, mountains, and the Best (and Best-Looking!) Football team in the country!

i think the boobshot was planned > a bit of competition for "the kiss" by justin's ex-girlfriend? I also looked away for 1 second and missed it!
My fave commercials were the BudLight dog bite for the beer, the bears buying with an ID, the "romantic" sleigh ride (yea, and I'm a chick and still laffed - it was either funny or I had way too much Captain Morgan;; or maybe a bit of both!);; my friends (non-IT variety) don't get the Linux boy...
prezbedard

2004-02-03, 10:16 pm

He is not Mr. Perfect. He is Mr. Clutch.
Ling663

2004-02-03, 10:38 pm

Oh, yes you are right, and I graciously stand corrected sir!

Whatever he may be called, he will always also be Mr. 2-time-SuperBowl-Winning-Kicker!
And not a bad looker either!

Glad my friends and I kept our wits about us and decided to be grownups and go to work instead of Boston for the parade >> heard there were a million people there in front of CityHall, and only ONE porto-potty!!! Not a big deal for you guys if you could find a corner someplace, but the women ... yikes!

PATRIOTS #1!!!
prezbedard

2004-02-03, 10:52 pm

estimated 1.5 million

I was in Boston today but not for the parade. Man it was insane. commuter rail was packed going and going home. Police at North Station and in the subway station(Park St.) Hey it did get me out of paying the fair on the way in and out. Saved me $9 total.

Speaking of reviews of avaiable now to discuss that...
yanqui

2004-02-09, 1:50 pm

is that MTV will NOT be producing the halftime show.

It was a great game--we enjoyed it immensely.

HOwever, to add to the discussion as to whether timberlake's action was a mistake, let's take a look at one line in the song he was singing (not that any lyrics were audible, you understand):"I'll have you naked before this song is through."

IF, and this is a big IF, IF indeed CBS was not aware that this would be included in the show, CBS has grounds for a breach of contract lawsuit against MTV. If one doesn't come out soon, we'll know they knew. Also, IF, and this is also a big IF, IF he didn't mean to do that, what was his hand doing in position that would allow him to rip off fabric anyway?

As for the look on her face, it was good acting. Or at least acting. Are we sure it was Janet? Could have been MIchael in a body-suit. Same face, you know?

And WHO was the target audience for that show, anyway? I know a lot of people who have been to the super bowl--I can't afford the tickets in the nosebleed section. That sort of music plays well with a pretty immature crowd, around high-school age. Not too many of whom buy super bowl tickets, or buy the products advertised for a million bucks per second during the game.

Which brings up another group of folks that is wondering how it should feel about the incident--the sponsors. They paid for the show, when it's all said and done. Wonder if they feel they got their money's worth. I looked at the crowd around the bandstand and knew instinctively that they were extras.

how is this a prediction? The NFL was on the record saying just that minutes after the end of the game
yanqui

2004-02-09, 2:00 pm

I missed that part--shameful though it is to say it, I fell asleep before the end of the game and had to find all this out the next day. I didn't even see the exposure; I didn't pay much attention to the show itself because I really hate that kind of music.

So I missed the post-game commentary. Wish now I had cable--I'm sure it was flying fast and furious on the sports stations.

Still a really good game, though.
freak

2004-02-09, 2:06 pm

agreed. It was a fabulous game. How you could fall asleep during a game of that intensity is beyong me
yanqui

2004-02-09, 2:11 pm

Sheer exhaustion--I was really mad at myself for it, too!

People get tired just listening to my daily routine--starts at 4:30 most days and ends somewhere around 9 or 10, with nothing but frenetic activity in between. And at our company, the month of January, saturday is considered a workday, so I had already been without any downtime for almost a month.
freak

2004-02-09, 2:32 pm

sounds like someone is pretty busy
yanqui

2004-02-09, 2:41 pm

Well, I'm never bored! Most of the activity comes in connection to my commitment to my family. NOthing compares to what I desire for them, in terms of health, happiness, and opportunity. So I teach religion classes to my daughter and husband (he's "auditing" the class just for the experience, but she's enrolled) because if I don't teach it, she doesn't get it. I want my boys, 5 and 2, to have as much fun with reading and school as I did, so I'm trying to introduce them to reading and numbers--in a fun way, but it still takes planning and preparation, and just plain taking time to sit with them and do the activities. My husband and I are both in leadership positions at church, something else we're committed to. I guess when you feel strongly about something, you'll do what it takes to make it happen, and everything else either falls into its place or falls out of your life and you don't miss it.

I'm glad I had time to watch the game, though, but that probably wouldn't have happened if we hadn't been at his mother's birthday party. (she watched it, too!)
