My computer won't wake up

A friends computer is in sleep mode. It will not come out of it even if you crash the system. It is a Gatway with XP 2 .

Turn off the computer (or unplug it if you have to) and boot it up. Change the Power Options to prevent it from going into sleep mode.

Go to Control Panel, then Power Options. Change all settings on the Power Schemes tab to Never.

Other than that, flash the BIOS with the most current version.
