| Truly was one of the best World Series that I have ever seen.
Winning with an 8 game win streak absolutely FANTASTIC !!!!
Hats off to Boston.
Nice city too

Have you ever looked at the rosters? Do you know anything about baseball?
|
|
|
| You're right, it will be interesting to see if they do break it up or not... | |
| dawsey 2004-10-31, 2:47 pm |
| hit a ball, run around, i know loads about rounders, are there any other nations involved or just usa | |
|
| again, look at the rosters and you will see that most of the players are not from the US... Dominican republic, Panama, Venezuela, etc...
Also, the bottom line is that there is no team in any other country that can come and take either of the two teams that played in the WS. Period.
| dawsey 2004-10-31, 3:04 pm |
| then you should call it the south american and neighboughing island cup | |
|
| Nope, because there still isn't any team out there that can actually beat an MLB team, especially not in a best of 7 series. So therefore, the winner of WS is indeed World Champion by default. | |
| dawsey 2004-10-31, 3:38 pm |
| thats a bit lame but well done bluesocks on their well deserved tin cup | |
|
| I am not sure why your attitude on this is so down. They won fair and square, period. They played the other 2 best teams in the MLB and won both series. Unlike the Yankmees' ARod, they didn't cheat - or attempt to.
You don't even live in the US, and you don't seem to care about baseball... what's your beef?

| it's not a world series, so why call it so | |

I tell you what: when a team from Newcastle can come and threaten any of these teams in the MLB, you'll have a point. In the mean time, take a chill pill my friend. It's only sports, it's a happy time, and this is the best team in the world right now.

| Dawsey does have a point that it is not really a WORLD SERIES.
However The game is played professionally in MOST countries including Japan.
My comment about a great series is the FACT that they won by winning 8 games in a row, when they were down 3-0 against the Yankees.
That alone stands to say GREAT SERIES.
