Hi guys! Ladies!

I have a small request. Lets not discuss Bush/Kerry on EN forums. Conversations like these sometimes get out of control and I don't want that to happen on our littly happy forum.

Moderators - if you see any new threads about Bush/Kerry, please close them promptly.

Thank you for understanding (or for misunderstanding, whataver the case may be)

While your at it, why don't you close ALL of the politically motivated threads? Tell them to take 'em to the "adult" forum.

Yup, I'm with forbesl.

Hey Dmitri,
I've been trying to PM you, but your mailbox is full. Can you let me know when I can send to you?

I agree whole heartedly, lets get this back to IT and related. Politically related threads only seem to stir hatreds.

This should be made into a "sticky" so it will stay on top for a while.
me? I dunno...

by all means, lets remove the ethical component from IT and proceed to train all the young nazi's as expeditiously as possible.

cyberterrorism is a real and increasing threat, and one that will flourish in an ethical vacuum

as governments are allowed to offload responsibility for their actions by using contractors instead of government employees, this becomes an even more pressing issue.

how many universities teach computer sciences without an ethical component in the curriculum?

again, the aljazeera website is a prime example. cyber saboteurs have repeatedly attempted to squelch the free flow of information to the western world. these actions have been condoned by a white house that has decided to actively filter the information flowing to its citizens according to political content.

and now those who applaud the political filtering of information have succeeded in applying enough pressure to censor what amounts to the ethical component of this forum.

the ideology of clones can and will exist in the absense of debate.

why try to be a 'computing light' forum? IT exists in the real world too, unleashing the power of IT in the absense of vigourous political debate is grossly irresponsible.

people here revile the 'braindump', why not extend that revulsion to the 'conscience of a clone'.

Yup, I was wondering how long it would take for our politcal 'expert' to show up weilding the torch of censorship and nazism because he's being told he can't do something he wants to.

Again, you are the textbook example of the ladder of inference in action. You continue to twist and turn information through your filtered sunglasses that only let in the information you want to support whatever f'ing ridiculous agenda you have. Lord knows you have nothing tehcnical to contribute to the forums, and that is not too surprising as you basically have the I.T. mentality of a 4 year old. (and that might be giving you more credit than you deserve).

Here, let me bottom line it for you 'Einstein'....House Rules apply here. If you don't like it, you can exercise your right to do us all a favor and forget about this place. (However, one questions if the intelligence is present within you to accomplish such a challenging feat).

Have a great day!

Do house rules allow someone to accuse another of having an I.T. mentality of a 4 year old, or doesn't the rule about posting defamatory comments apply here.

If you're going to pull someone up on the rules then perhaps using personal attacks in your post is a poor decision on your part.

As you like to say 'House Rules apply here'.

Your concern is touching... I'm wiping away a tear right now.

Possibly was a poor decision, possibly not. If it was, I am big enough to admit that, but I will not retract the comment, as I'm not 100% sure it was a poor decision.

You attempt to single me out on one post. Care to comment on the plethora of defametory posts and comments your buddy 'me I dunno?' has made over the past 10 months?

Everybody does have their own opinion on things I guess....

When I first signed up for this program I was skepticle. After being unemployed for a very long time, I was desperate. I was told that I will be given hotel and flight accomodations as well as a laptop and books to study for the MCSE. I was also told that I would get a income supplement to get me to $25 dallors a hour during the first 30-days of employment. I went to the program in July 2004. To my suprise, everything that I was promised I received. All of my test were paid for. The instructors were excellent. I passed four of my exams on the campus. Suprisingly, I also given 2 years free of distant learning. I'll start studying for my Cisco after I finish my MCSE. My biggest shock came in September, thats when the phone call came in. After years of being unemployed finally a job offer comes in. I was hired because I received my MCSA through NTTAP. This job is paying me $17 an hour and NTTAP is supplementing me an additional $8.00 a hr to get me to $25 hr for the first 30 days, but after that my permanent rate is $17hr,this is a permanent job. $14,995 may sound like a lot of money. I was about an inch of being evicted from my home. I received what they said they would deliver.
All I'm saying is that it wasn't easy, but it is possible......it's alot of hard work.
P.S. I slacked off a little on my studying, but I have just one more test to receive my MCSE.
