| I received a report from CNET just a few minutes ago that MSN was closing it's chat rooms in 28 countrys in order to protect children from child molesters and such. Should other chat rooms on other ISP's follow suit, what do you think?` | |

| not really a big fan of chat rooms, much prefer a forum where I don't have to look at the screen all the time to keep up. | |

| gutless move by ms. all they are doing is moving people to other chatrooms possibly run by less reputable people. why don't they spend some of their billions monitoring the chatrooms to help the police catch perverts, instead of simply disassociating themselves from the problem? | |

| probably afraid of getting drawn into court cases or being charged themselves with aiding and abetting, you know how sue happy the US is. | |

I agree with you up to a point, it is my belief that MSN is afraid of getting a bad rep. and loseing ground to AOL. | |

| Except I heard that they weren't closing all of them. Closing the UK, but not the US for example, partly because they aren't monitored. | |
