| I am curious about something. I have heard that in the election voters will be able to vote against the recall, and then vote for a candidate. If that is true, couldn't all the Davis supporters simply vote against the recall, and then as an insurance policy, cast a vote for Bustamante? If my assumption is correct, Bustamante could get his own legitimate votes plus all the votes of all the opponents of the recall, thus virtually assuring his victory. | |

| you can vote no on recall and not for a candidate at all.
that is the way the democrates wanted... so to avoid spliting the votes between no and bustamante.
for example, our senator diane feinstein has stated that she will simply vote no on the recall and place no vote on candidate.
when bustasomething came in, democrate were worried because... how do you tell democrated to vote no on the recall, but heh, lets vote busta so he can be it. but another camp are worry that by not providing an democrate alternative to the recall, then they may lose it all... becaus davis simply sucks.
your scenario would be troublesome... if there is a sizable davis support |
