fun site... tell me more about words.

| saw the movie *underworld* yesterday, cool movie. So here I am looking up some stuff on vampires and weird wolves and decided to do some research on lycans... which through the power of google got me to this site

it has a section on weird words (such as blackmail... what does it mean and why anyway?) and section on q/a where the author answer questions, like why is pounds lbs? or even current stuff like dental spa, which I just saw a report on tv about it...
basically, useful stuff to look over so you can look freakishly bright or nerdy at cocktail parties.
such as telling your rival for a girl's affection * you big girl's blouse! *

I had a good time and does not regret spending 2 hours there...
it has been touted to be the movie that matrix reloaded should be... I am not sure about that claim...
it simply does not have the budget for it to be that.
the story is interesting... vampires, werewolves, fighting among themselves... add to that the typical gothic vampire look... the movie, the story, the premise of the movie intriques me. The movie is in line with earlier works like Blade... in face, a lot like the Blade series... if you dig that, you will dig this.
This is a good movie, don't go in expecting it to be a blockbuster and you will find yourself entertained... go in there as most ppl did when going to see matrix reloaded or star wars episode i/ii and you will come out just like everyone, a bit disappointed...
oh my friends generally agree with me, and the mood of the theater coming out was good. | |

Just got back from seeing it. Your despcription of it was pretty good. I enjoyed watching it. I am a Blade fan too. I believe the ending leaves it wide open for a sequel and hope if they do make one, the cast, the ones that survived anyway, reprise their roles.
I wasn't disappointed with the movie. Good flick if you like these kind. | |

| you almost know all the story line for the sequel... marquis being a corvin also, a vampire corvin... vs michael, the lycan corvin...
and see how marquis is awakened? by the blood of the lycan doctor? some carried over lycan power ? ... da supa dupa corvin come out of that?
but man, weren't those vamp wimps? all they do is growl, show their fangs and quickly dispatched... not one other than viktor can even fight a lycan one on one... not even that dual whip dude... who bascially did no damage dispite all that display and quickly die... | |

It did seem odd they chose to run instead of going one on one with them didn't it? I kind of figured the whip guy would have inflicted more damage than he did, but alas.... one of his whips got stuck? Seemed like a sitting duck....
Ah yes.... Viktor can dispatch Lycans with his mighty grasp, but appears to have a slight weakness towards metal, especially swords.
Still, I thought it was worth the time to spend watching it. I'd go see it again. Probably get more out of it the second time around. | |

| I fight vampires. I hate them. Sometimes I realise that I am not truly Buffy but most of the time I just fight the vampires. I hate vampires even though I am Dracula. That is one mean vampire. Dracula. Hates all the other vampires. Otherwise Buffy. Buffy is Dracula. It's the logical conclusion. And that's me: Buffy and Dracula. Fight it out now Buffy and Dracula. Try to kick Dracula in the head Buffy!! LOL!! I am enjoying watching this .. | |
