Hi,

I had just passed my ccna exam and is aiming the MCSE 70-270 XP paper as the first of the 7 exams required. I used sybex for ccna and quite like it (since i passed using just that one book) but i am in a fix deciding between using sybex books for MCSE or go for the MS press this time round.

I heard that MS press is more 'exam' focus, since MCSE exam is much more difficult to pass than CCNA, it will be better to stick with the company who comes out with the exam.

I have limited funds and time to complete the certication. (I have quited my lousy job to concentrate on these cert in hope of getting a better paying job). I aimed to take the test end of sept 03... so any advice on the best book or publisher or study method with cheapest cost to accomplish my goal will be greatly appreciated.

I have not taken any MCSE papers... and this may sound childish. Will just mugging a book be enough to pass the 70-270 exam?

honestly i dun believe in taking an exam and claims yourself to be an expert in the field. but it is a start for you to get that experience. Employers WANT to see some form of proof of ur capabilities and so this is wat i am doing... running after certifications in order to gain myself the chance to prove my worth.

Probably, but an exam pass won't get you a job on it's own. What employers look for now is experience. Catch 22 I know, but them's the breaks.

this is something that you need to check out for your self.
go to your book store and browse thru each of them whichever you feel confortable with is the one you will learn the most out of.
