| YOU CAN USE THEN TO RUN LINUX WHICH IS A SHAREWARE OS OR YOU CAN USE THEM TO RUN DOS AND PLAY OLD DOS GAMES WITH WEIRD MEMORY REQUIREMENTS LIKE SOLITAIR OR HEARTS. YOU CAN ALSO INSTALL WINDOWS 98 ON THEM IF THEY HAVE ENOUGH HARDDISK RAM. OR USE IT TO STORE PORN SO YOUR MOM AND BOYFRIEND DO NOT SEE IT. | |

| Well first off if they arefree take them.
You could run NT if you had it.
You might be able to run W2K if they have enough RAM and harddrive space.
Yes you could run linux which is not shareware but a free operating system under the GPL General Public License

| YOU CAN DOWNLOAD SHAREWARE COPY OF LINUX FROM THE WAREZ SITE HTTP://REDHAT.COM ITS EASY TO INSTALL I DID IT JUST NOW. WHY WAIT TILL COLLEGE? YOU BE VERY SURPRISED HOW EASY RED HAT IS AND THEN YOU CAN LEARN. IT SEEMS TO BE EASIER TO INSTALL THEN WINDOWS. TRY IT BEFORE DO NOT WAIT OR ELSE YOU WILL END UP WAITING. | |

Redhat.com is not a warez site. It is one of the big commercial versions of linux.

I will agree with you on this (on God help me) You don't have to wait for college and shouldn't to start learning linux. The earlier you start the better.
ghaouf,
Go here: http://knoppix.com/
knoppix is a "live" version of linux. It runs tight off the CD so you don't have to install it on your hard drive. It includes all the apps and other goodies.
You can even access your Windows drives with it.

| Why thank you sir for clearing that up. I get a bit confused sometimes and calls certains things things that they are not. Some times I call my mom dad or my dad mom I even get my own name mixed up every once in awhile. So please forgive me I am a idiot with a very small brain. | |

| I do believe you can daisy chain certain KVM switches. Make sure you check the specs first though.
I just did a search for "daisy chain kvm switches" in google and did find some.

| according to m$ p133 is the minimum for win2k. i have it on a p133 in the lab and it is dead slow. but good enough to learn on nevertheless - it saw me through a+ and network+.
if you take stuff off your teacher now, it is likely you could get more stuff in the future. what's on offer now may be at the shitty-end of the scale, but, sometime, you got get a gem |
