| hello all I am new to this so be kind
My question to you is this > I play loads of games online and have my own website
http://www.lee.prescott.btinternet.co.uk/
What I would like is that everytime I connect to the internet it displays my new IP on my wepage.
So others who I have directed to my webpage can join my games..
can this be done, as I can find no rescource on the web
thanks in advance ICEMAN

| You shouldn't have to. the provider your using should have DNS for name to IP resolution.
Your name should suffice.

| YOU CAN WRITE PROGRAM TO GRAB NEW IP ADDRESS WHEN EVER YOU CONNECT THEN YOU HAVE THE PROGRAM YOU WROTE UPLOAD THE IP TO WEBSITE. THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO DO IT. DO YOU KNOW VB OR C++? IF SO JUST MAKE IT GENERATE NEW HTML FILE THAT CONTAINS YOUR IP THEN HAVE IT UPLOAD NEW HTML FILE TO WEBSERVER. EASY 2 DO | |

| There is probaby a script to do it somewhere.. but like dmann said, just tell your gamers to connect to lee.prescott.btinternet.co.uk - that way that's all they have to remember
btw why are you hosting games on your dial up? don't you think thats a bit unfair on others
