| Hey there everyone. I just got another quick question for ya... In your opinion, which cert would I be further ahead pursuing: Server+ or Security+? I just got my Net+ a few weeks ago and I was wondering where to go from there. thanks. | |

| I would go with Security+. Network Security is becoming a big issue nowadays and is worth the pursuit. | |

| Gotta throw in my vote for Sec+ (I hope to test Fri)
I am all for the SCNP as well.
Seems that is a major thing for companies, they want thier network secured.... | |

| both are useful, pick the one that fit your job profile (future new potential position) | |

| Hey, I really enjoyed server+, and when I start applying for this position in my home town, you know i'm going to mention it (they have multiple server which need to be maintained Server+ was fun stuff, I got to play with xeon chips and try to remember how that HP server went back together when I got right into it. Also, a quick lession to remember to label all you scsi drives when you take them out, It's annoying in the aftermath to try and remeber which harddrive went where. It's good good stuff. | |

| Alright. Yeah, I was kinda thinking about the Security+ cert. I mean, I wasnt to get both but I really want to get into network security and be a "specialist" if you will. Thanks for the suggestions. And good luck to ya net_grl. Hope ya pass the test with flying colors. Also thanks for the note about remembering to label my SCSI drives oddduck. | |

| I would pick Server+ with your experience. I have been burned with Security+ and believe the required level of knowledge is very high for that exam. |
