i know theres a few bright people here (a few) so i reckon someone can help.
My mp3's wont play in windows media plyer or kazaa. as soon as i ask it too play it searches for new codecs. Then it says those codecs are unsuitable!??
Is my sound configuration all screwy?
i checked it out and it seems ok.
help plz
thanx

have you tried downloading and installing the latest windows media player? the codecs required by kazaa are likely the ones installed with your present media player. if they have become corrupted somehow, or if the media is more recent that your player, the latest media player should cure it.

Try downloading "The Playa" and the associated codec package from divx.com. It seems to have all the codecs I have ever needed. If it will play your media, then it is definately a codec problem, but if it doesn't we'll have to try a couple other things.

Ok. It seems that real jukebox will play (sorry my mistake) my audio and kazaa will play videos. Does this mean it is a codec problem?
Is their a way of solving the problem for Kazaa?

Thanx for the suggestions of downloading other players i have downloaded the Quinnware player that gr33nd4yg1rl suggested but im just goning to stick with the real jukebox player as i think it is best. As for Windows media player.......phf Windows eh.

(Maybe a new thread could start by slagging off Windows and Bill Gates)
