| I believe myself and a few others on a Land Rover forum I use have been well and truly ripped off. I sent a cheque off too a guy for £23.00 for a 'Sandblaster', I should have noticed the lack of posts but other mambers who had been on the forum longer than I had ordered so I guessed they knew him.
Well the cheque cleared over a month ago and guess what, NO F**KI*G SANBLASTER despite many PM's asking where it is...
So what avenues can I use, I haven't got an e-mail off him, but do have an address which is allegedly his and also a website. But I'm wondering whether these are his at all..

| The problem is, the address he gives has no phone number connected to it. But I do have a mobile number which constantly switches to voice mail, so maybe I can sign that up to some junk.(anybody know of any text message adverts I could sign him up to, so he's innundated with them)

so collect all your info and emails with full headers and go see your local police
fraud is fraud.
and everything is traceable.
the email is forwarded somewhere and somewhere somebody is checking that mail which can be traced back to an isp somewhere .....
hmmmm ... your're actually better off doing buisness with someone on ebay then someone cheesy enough to only use a free website for his warez (pun intended) | |

Are you self employed?
If not then you'll not be aware that any money is precious, you never know whats over the horizon. Work at the moment is quite slack for me, so £23 might not be much to you but to me it can sometimes be the difference between paying bills or not..
And at the end of the day, it's the principle that's in question here. Why should scum be allowed to get away with ripping people off, whether it's for £1 or £1 million... | |
