| I wish I had good parents who beat when I was younger and made me study internetworking until my eyes popped out like they do in india. I could have been CCIE by now. I know when I have kids he will learn the OSI model before he knows the ABC's and I will get a big stick so I beat the crap out of it if cant recite all the RFC's by heart or take apart and put back togeather a computer in under 2 minutes. | |

Hey!!!!Lets blame our parents for everything. I love living in a 'no accountability society'.
Excuse me while I go and phone me Mum to tell her off for not buying Stock in AOL and Microsoft all those years ago. Sighhhh I could be on my very own sailing boat in the Med drinking Champaign and eating Caviar right now...... | |

| I actually think my parents did a good job with me. They let my make my own mistakes, and encouraged me. Alright sometimes I wish they harassed me more in highschool so I would have done better, but that falls under "I need to make my own mistakes" catagory. | |

But they didn't beat you. So you will not be all you can be unless you join the army. We need to educate parents on the benifeits of beatings that way everyone can be sucessful. Also the more beatings people get the less gullible they are. | |

| I was spanked from time to time, when I did really dumb things like run out in front of cars on the highway and so forth. I'm sure I'll reach MY potential. Your thoughs on what you should do for yourself is differnet then your parents. MY PARENTS want me to live in my small hometown and watch an apartment building there looking to buy. The whole thing is, it's my life, it isn't there choice anymore what I do with it (though I'm still financially dependant). I would rather be happy with what I'm doing and have suffered failures along the way. If my parents had there way all through my life, I'd be in pre-optomatry @ the U of Waterloo. I mean who wants that? :P | |
