Are any of you using Vonage, or some similar offering? I just noticed that they're now offering numbers in my area code and have signed up. From what I've heard the voice quality is almost identical to what you get with the PSTN as long as you have a decent Interent connection. Any technology that lets me deal with Verizon a little less has got to be a good thing

For those of you who don't know, Vonage is a VoIP provider.

I have Vonage, the reason Iswitched was that one day my Verizon pots was down and they wanted 150$ to fix it - i said fcuk verizon and got vonage;
The service is ok - no difference insound quality; but only problem ive had is that sometimes they f*ck up voicemails - they sometimes cut it off in 2-7 seconds;

However cool features are that you can listen to your voicemail online and also you have complete overview online who has been calling you and etc.

+ I pay lot less than with verizon - ii think verizon bill was usually around 100$ now i pay 50$;
Its because imake a lot of out of country calls - and to most of the places vonage is VERY very cheap

I got the vonage equipment a few days ago, and so far am very impressed. Like you said, the voice quality is just as good and it's a lot less expensive, especially for businesses. Plus you don't have to deal with Verizon
