| It's too late in the day for me to think that one through.
So anybody any ideas how that's done, I did notice the symbols moved around after every guess.. | |

| It just uses the same symbol for every possible answer. The symbols themselves change, but every possible answers will use the same symbol. | |

VERY true!! do it a couple of times and see... there are a limited number of answers and they all have the same symbol..which are cycled everytime u click <play again> everytime u do it, remember the the answers that u chose [#] they will all have the same symbol..... | |

It will never goes wrong. If you find it's wrong, check your calculation. 
The trick is, when you do the maths, it'll always give you a multiple of 9. So the crystal ball will always show the symbol next to number 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, and 90.
