I know I'm gonna get alot of hate debate on this one ...so here goes. Is there any real difference between someone going to school (that trains you just to get your MSCE and MCSA) and taking these courses as to someone just doing the braindumps and home studying and passing? I know that the school will teach u what u need to know, but thats just the basics. You both still start off with knowing minimal skills and understanding. So if you go to a job interview and say that your MCSE, MCSA, etc....what is the boss really gonna think? I know you can probably can use the school as credentials for getting the Certs, but does it really help?? As for me...I've been doing come computer work for a bit for the Army now, and went to a School to get my MCSE and MCSA (which I got) and now I wanna get my BA in some field in Computer Tech. So is there any real diffence between the two. Maybe I can say it more clear after I get some feedback.

I think the fast track certification schools were really designed for those already in IT and needed to get the actual certification without going through a long process.

I think what most of them are though are "tutored braindumps."

There is probably no difference between the two except that one costs more and they hold your hand through it all.

I just do not see how they can claim to certify people for MCSE in ten days without braindumping.

14 days for MCSE...now that I don't think can be done, but maybe someones already done it, maybe with some hard "BrainDumping". My Class was 8 Months long and I admit most of it took a bit to learn but some of it I already knew. Once I got the concept it started falling in place and I understood it better. I admit that I need to study more...but who doesn't. I don't think I would even go for an Administrators job right now...I'd be glad to just get my foot thru the door and start somewhere to learn and work my way up. I don't mean to sound like an a$$ but you gotta start someplace and thats the main reason I got my Certs. I was already in the IT field...kinda. I just don't want the Employers thinkin I just another paper MCSE wannabe. Anyone else think there the same or different!!!
