We have the potential for 24”+ of snow in the area. What are the predictions in your area?

I know I should have picked up milk, eggs, bread and… well condoms to prepare for such a disaster.

It's crazy!! We already have almost 2 feet on the ground with drifting. (This is Maryland). It sucks because I'm stuck inside. Some of you all should start up some good threads because I don't got much else to do right now but read the examnotes forum, lol. Govenor has issued a state of emergency and only essential vehicles are allowed on the roads.

We had about 2” a couple of days ago with blowing and drifting...the schools were delayed and so on. Drifts of 3’ here at home. Wait until the wind picks up now!

My Black Lab loves it!

I grew up very close to NYC and do miss it at times but I love the country life too. Although the country folk here do not understand my home grown attitude.

We had about 2’ of snow with drifts of 6 to 7 feet. My Taurus and Honda were completely buried the only things in my driveway that could be seen were the Tacoma and camper.

3 hrs to clean up with a snow blower.

Here in RI, been snowing since about 7:30am, now 6:30pm or so and we have at least a foot out there, and it's still snowing, supposed to keep going until tomorrow morning (tuesday)!!

shop closed at 1pm today and sent us home, was a nightmare getting home! probably won't be in tomorrow, or at least not until lunch time!

I'm flying to "sunny" florida in 37-1/2 hours, at 8am wednesday! the airport here is closed, has been all day, and they're saying the 'ripple' effects could be felt for days! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! this trip can not get *&^^((D up by a snowstorm!!! could be my last vaca for quite a while just starting a new job in a couple weeks!!!! I'm getting worried!
Guess i should stop whining, at least I have a chance at escape from white hell!
snow is pretty, we do live in NE after all, but we've had a storm a week all winter and i've had enuff now!

christmas was 2months ago, santa and his reindeer can kiss my *&$$ if my pals and I can't get outta the state wednesday morn!

all I can do is hang out in the forums, that is if my crappy puter will stay up > needs a good sweep, keeps BSOD'ing me whenever IE starts, yep I know, prob a video prob, but after working all day, tearing apart my own sweater-dryer is the last thing i feel like doing!

keep warm all!
at least I had a couple beers left in the fridge from the weekend!

Think we've had only two 5" snows this year in Amarillo. Today it was 64, sunny and nice. Need the snow though, it's really dry. There saying rain hopefully before the week is up...

We topped out at 30.1 inches in Staten Island, NYC. A new record, beating the 1996 22 inch one. I just wanted everyone to know, the beer is frozen, but safe in my backyard. It's OK, I have it under control!

lol unfortunately, when i tried to make the balls, the snow wouldn't stick together very well and i couldn't get the ball any bigger than baseball-sized. i at least wanted to make a bowling ball-sized one guess i'll have to wait a few days until the snow melts slightly.

i tried snowboarding for the first time at the weekend. it was fantastic (although a bit painful when i hit some rocks). you guys should definitely give it a go while you have the snow - if you live near some hills of course!
