I was asked to name the five Windows SSMO (that is what the woman said) she said it features heavily in the MCSE but I'd never heard of it. She said the answers were something like PDC emulator, BDC emulator, Master etc......I couldn't remember the port numbers either, had to name HTTPS, Kerberos, I remembered HTTP, FTP and Telnet!!!
What a nightmare telephone interview that was........must be time to burn the books................

SSMO, never heard of it? Are you sure that she did not say FSMO? Flexible Single Master Operations In that case she was talking about active directory domain controllers; Schema Master, Domain Naming Master, PDC Emulator, RID Master, and Infrastructure Master. If she really said SSMO then you were snookered. If it is FSMO which it seems to be based on your message then this will help get you up to speed.

I hate it when people are obviously giving you a test on the telephone reading from a script that uses acronyms. I make it a habit of asking them to define the acronym or at least the context because programming in several languages exposes me to too many to guess. If I think I know the acronym then I will say are you referring to 'bla bla'?

If they don't know what the hell they are talking about, it removes that human resources attack dog instinct and puts them on a slight defensive which can work in your favor. There is no need to try to remove qualified candidates because because they were told to cull X number of interviewees.

My wife used to work in a large HR department where some would do that because they did not like the sound of your voice when you said hello. I am sorry if you were the victim of such a person. It looks like they may have been looking for someone with experience securing active directory.

At least she didn't ask you "If you could be any type of animal what type of animal would you be and why?"

Testking version 1.0 of how to blag your way through a telephone interview might have saved you.

However, they have helped you so much in the past.

Actually forget e-mailing me Lexy, I'm not going to get involved in ten years old in the playground stuff........we all know you have used testking so don't be so quick to judge when you are amongst the cheaters yourself........

You shouldn't judge others by your own standards.

Just because you cheat, everyone else does? I think not.

You are the self confessed cheater not me. Sorry if I do things the old fashioned way by learning the subject matter and getting hands on experience.

Back to playground fighting then is it? This just shows your mentality, which is as hilarious as your image of me.

You have far too much time on your hands.

Buy another brain dump and occupy your time with that or get out more. Either of which will give your family a well earned and deserved rest.
