Thought I would do some case modding...how is this for a start? I was also kinda wondering what kind of machines ya'll are running...

Here is my current rig:

AMD Athlon XP 2600+
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe nForce2 Chipset
333FSB
Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround (Real time encoding)
RIVA TNT2 PCI 32Mb (the next part to upgrade)
480 ?? Power Supply

It also has 6 USB 2.0 ports (right on the back)
Fire Wire
2 10/100 and an Intel hardware modem

Primary Master - 7200 Rpm Seagate 9.3
Primaty Slave - 7200 Rpm IBM 4.5
Secondary Master - 16x Lite-On DVD (48x Cd)
Secondary Slave - Mitsumi 52x CDRW

RAID controler - 3 Gig who-knows-what that runs Red Hat 9. I am soon going to make it into a raid array, once I get some new hard drives.

I run windows longhorn and Red Hat 9, and overall it is a fairly good system. I cut a hole in the side of the case (my first mod) so I could install another fan. I plan to put in another soon.

Those images wont show up unless run a server and put them on it or put it on some other server. You can attach images also that way you don't need to worry about it.

Pretty nifty, dude! Looks like you got a little happy with the dremel tool to put in the extra fan

Pretty cool. I've been thinking about buying one of those clear acrylic cases. I love those cold cathode fans too... I have quite a few myself. Here's the only mod I have a picture of at the moment... It's the first one I ever did. The nice thing was the molding that came with the window kit was so thick it covered up all the imperfections in my cutting job!

Cool stuff crane. I'm too lazy to mod my case.

DaPunisher, you should take off the stickers and paint your cd and floppy drives...they're cheap, screw the warrenty. looks crazy.

Heh, I remember back in the day using a knife to cut ribbon cables then twisting and taping the bundle to make round cables....now they sell them premade

actually I have a PIII 450 machine w/ a AGP tv out card I plan to make into a ammo-case computers for gaming. I am still gathering up ideas and trying to find the right ammo case. I want to do it right and not just put the parts in foam inside but make nice little mounts for all the parts and connectors. It will take a while but will be fun to do.
