Anyways it is starting to snow and I was thinking woah I don't wanna shovel. So I was thinking wow wouldn't it be cool if I could put someone sort of heated cover tarp type thing on the driveway to keep the snow off. Figured someone prolly came up with the idea and sell those somewhere but I can't find anything. I found one site where someone came up with a similar idea but it is just an idea and doesn't look like an actual product.

Anyone know if any products like this exist? Would be really coo.

Well I don,t know if anyone is still making electric driveways anymore, but I can tell you that they did make them in california back in the late 1950's I think about about 1959. I use to live in a house that had an electric grid under the driveway which kept the driveway above freezing in the winter.

Yeah upon doing some more searches I found some stuff like that built into drive ways. A mat or something you can put on your drive way would be really cool that way you don't need to spend thousands of dollars on it.

The sidewalks around the office building's in downtown Chicago have been heated at least since the sixties. The high winds make black ice a constant problem with out heating.

Here's an idea.

make sure your gas tank has a slow leak, when it snows just sling a match on your drive, that should clear the snow.
