I'm just wondering when Microsoft plans to phase out the win2k MCSE track. I'm planning on starting my MCSE and am wondering if I should do win 2k or wait for 2003.

Any insight is appreciated.

90% of the 2003 OS is based on the W2K kernel. If you learn W2K, you only need to learn about the enhancements of 2003.

W2K will live longer than NT because it is so similar to 2003. Seven years later, NT is still in 40% of company networks.

I would go the W2K route, then later take a few more exams to upgrade to 2003. It will look like you've been in IT longer.
