The is old, so my little 10yr old brother mows his lawn. The guy gave my little brother like $0.25 to do it. So of course my lil bro did like I taught him and kicked the guy and took his wallet.

Yep another unfortunate word that is misunderstood with roots to the 16 century.

Funny how niggardly is an adjective. It is one of the few that end in "ly". So taking the rule that to make an adjective from an adverb- add "ly" you would have niggardlyly.

He niggardlyly witheld the money. He is so niggardly.

Hey what the hell I was hoping for an uproar and for people to get upset I would use such a word. Been trying to fit that word in every chance I got today in hopes to get people going then I could whip out a dictionary and make them feel like fools. Only problem is that I am afraid I will be using the word wrong. I actually posted it on this other forum I vist often times and my post was deleted. Yes, I am a trouble maker.

Well,, niggardly is like contumely . . . it means something, but there are usually better words suited to normal conversation. "Stingy" is more pithy. I would assume most people here, since they are using they printed word to communicate, have a decent grasp pf the English language and know what the word means.

Someone who likes to watch races? Besides, Nigger isn't always an insult. Listen to a few of Tupac's albums for verification. Only niggers, however, can use nigger and be seen as non-prejudicial. Go figure.

Nigger is always an insult. Nigga on the other hand is not, so long as it's said by a black person.

I have heard other blacks using the word nigger, although the nigga/nigger distinction is a slight one. Either way, niggs in the mouth of a non-black would not likely be taken kindly. I guess its kind of like being called a "geek". it can mean you are social halfwit who never takes his or her eyes away from a computer screen, or it can mean "that guy/gal who always fixes my computer for free". Language is funny.

lthough dictionarydotcom seems to place an entirely negative meaning to the word. not mention they pretty much seem to think geek and nerd are one in the same. I happen to disagree.

Yes, but in recent times being a "computer geek" has become practically a compliment, certainly not the way it started out, and yes, geek and nerd do have somewhat different connotations.

No, you are still a trainee, you have not been taught in full the ways of confusion.

However your latest stunt has indeed gained you a pass at level one, there are still 9 levels to go through.

I welcome your presence on the path to full confusion.

Reverse psychology. Take a word and make it your own thereby insulting or defusing the original antagonists use of said word. It has been done before throughout history by other nationalities.

Its amazing how some people can react to words, I had a boss once who found the words "can I have a wage increase" very insulting, seemed to get upset, get mad and start throwing things about.

How true I have found lots of biggots like that when it is obvious that raises should be set free. I had one that told me to put my chair on blocks instead.
