| Last year I register a domain name from http://www.godaddy.com I only chose and paid one-year service. The entire invoice, confirm sheet every document showed that. But this year I found my MasterCard was charged again by this company, the reason is if you login your "manage domains" with you ID and PS in http://www.godaddy.com, there is a very small icon between so many icons shows " Auto-Renew" That means this function will automatically charge your Credit card in next year! And the most ridiculous and shameless thing is: this function is "The auto renew settings are set to on by default unless you specify manual renew when you register the domain." That is a very beautiful trick!
Why this company think it has that right to make this decision (auto renew) for it customers? I am just wondering to know why this company does not set it as "off" by default?
What do you guys think about it? |
