Dear techies,

My isp assigned 172.22.18.94/252 for our company router. Clock is ticking and I have no way to know the subnet mask that corresponds to this cidr address.

Could someone please calculate the subnet mask for this address, please???

TIA,

Charlitze

You actually have the subnet mask in your post:

172.22.18.94/252 - look at the number after the slash, 252.

Your subnet mask is 255.255.255.252 giving the following information:

Subnet 172.22.108.92
1st address 172.22.108.93
2nd address 172.18.108.94 Your router IP
Broadcast 172.18.108.95

The IP address at their end of your WAN link would be 172.22.108.93.

The CIDR notation for your address will be:

172.22.108.94/30
