sandy was in king's oak, pushing himself around the town in his chair doing a bit of window shopping when he meets benny, standing there in his usual dim way, thinking of starry the goat and his various muses around the farm.

"hello, benny," says sandy.

"hello, sandy," says benny.

"what are you doing there," says sandy, "just standing in the middle of town?"

"it's like this," says benny. "miss diane walks into the kitchen where i was skinning a rabbit for tea, and takes all her clothes off and lies across the table and says, 'go to town, benny.' so, here i do be."

I miss Crossroads. Not that latest attempt, but the older stuff, with wonky sets and poor acteurs who fluffed their lines often.

Miss Diane was OK, but not as tasty as Jill with her big boobies and ready-for-bed smile.

Ah! Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

And, I saw Benny, actor Paul Henry, on stage at the Marlowe theatre in Canterbury. He played Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk and my family and I (when we only had two kiddies) met him backstage.

He don't talk like Benny at all in real life.

Me tinks he were on about Kings Heath, don't think there's a Kings Oak(pubs aside) in Brum.
