Devil promises to stop preaching evil

| I heard some people calling Arafat the devil on another board in responce to Arafat saying Israel has a right to live in peace. So it got me thinking
MMMMM... Satan pledges to stop preaching evil???
But isnt he still-
1)Stealing other peoples countries?
2)Starting wars and calling them "self-defence"?
3) Building an aparthite wall?
4) Buldozing Palestinian homes?
5) Blowing up entire areas in the hope of getting one terrorist?
6) Massacring people at Jenin?
7) Sneakely grabbing land from the west bank through his aparthite wall?
8) Promoting the most vicious policies of any democratically elected leader in the world, under the guise of God?
9) Using religeous extreamism to acheive his goals?
Maybe he is backing down a bit though, I mean everybody in the world is against him (Except for some of his worshippers in the American South). Hell, even his right-hand man is saying he is "troubled" by his policies.
But, I suppose its OK for him to do what he wants for all eternity, because did you know that his great, great, great grandparents were treated like dogs, and massacred by an even eviler Right-Wing German man in the 40's and 50's? How did you expect him to turn out? They say child abusers were abused as a child, so by the same token, you really have to excuse his actions dont you?
Now I know his arch enemy should really stop blowing up shopping malls/whatever to reach his goal of freedom for his people and and end to his people being treated like dogs/having there homes blown up/buldozed/ having there land taken/ or being killed, and generally being treated like the Jewish were in the 40's/50's, but at least he has a legitamite goal doesnt he?
You have to wonder though, How in God's name did a bunch of Americans/Russians/Ukrainians/Germans end up living in the middle-East? Weird eh?. Well let me explain. Theres this book right, and its called the Bible. Its about 2000 years old. This is a book WIDE open to interpretation. Among other messages, it says Love thy neighbour, though shalt not steal and lots of other Care Bear type stuff. Most people try to stick to its general principle's.Some crazy people take the Bible literally though! They then think they have the right to:
1) Stone their wife in public for adultry (Leviticus 20:10)
2) Tax collecters are the spawn of the devil(not that one!)(Matthew 11:19)
3) Its a sin to wear a garment made of different fabrics(Leviticus 19:19)
4) Cutting the sides of your hair and beard is a sin(Obvious Anti-Mullet bias)(Leviticus 19:27)
5)You should have sex with your father to preserve the family line!(Genesis 19:30-38)
6) God hates you if you are born gay!(George Bush 23:15)
in direct opposal to
7) Being gay is good! (Genesis 19:4-8)
8) If you are not poor, you aint going to heaven! (Mark 10:21-25)
9) We should fear God(Matthew 10:28)
but
10) We should love God (Matthew 22:37)
BUT
11) There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18)
12) The Jews shall live in the middle of Middle-East.
So, we know that the Bible is full of contradictions and stuff God tells us to do, but is just plain wrong. So why on Gods good earth, did an International commitee, after World War II, on the premise of International sympaty for the disgracefull treatment of the Jewish in Nazi Germany, and persistant Jewish bombing of Western targets by the Stern Gang(King David Hotel anybody?) decide to agree with a few extreamists, and bow to persistent Jewsish bombing of western targets, to form a state called Israel IN THE MIDDLE OF Middle-East!!!
Did it go something like:" Hey, as a gesture of goodwill, we have realised that it is wrong to treat Jews like shit. But in a moment of enlightenment, we have deceided that it is OK to throw millions of Arabs off their land, and we here by invite millions of you Jews, from Washington to Kiev to live in the middle of the Middle-East(Cause it says in the Bible)!"
How much fairer can you get folks!!??
But remember, if the Arabs say, "Hey, this is bullshit, I want my house back!"
They are called "terrorists"!.
Repeat after me kids "T-E-R-R-O-R-I-S-T-S"
So anyway, I have decieded to set up my own religion called Jonathanism. In my two day old scriptures it says that although I am Irish, I shall inherit the land that is called America! Anybody who opposes my and my peoples completely justified takeover is a terrorist. I shall bomb you(like our predecesers the Jews) until you give in! Resistence is futile cause I have an International criminal Court on my side!

| Just to show exactly WHY the Bible should not be taken literally. And as a Christian, its the book that I try to live my life by, as best I can, through my own interpretation. | |

in no specific order as to not offend any specific belief system.
1. nothing (uh-oh all religions are wrong)
2. something (and some religious group gets to dance arround and say i told you so while everyone else burns)

and hasn't really changed
from the caveman to the middle ages to present day.

| Religion is the biggest single cause of touble in the world.
It was quite obviously artificially created a couple of thousand years ago to keep the masses on the straight and narrow, and served it's purpose very well at the time.
It has no place in modern society in the developed world.
Religion of any kind is for people who need to believe in an after life coz they can't handle the fact that when you're dead that's it.
You ARE NOT going to heaven or anywhere else when you cark it. Live with it. | |

Panama, though in Central America is technnicaly refereed to as part of 'North America'. However, One Hundred years ago it was part of Columbia (SA) until the US helped arrange an 'independance revolution'.
