All you need to find is a nitwit attorney to take your case. If you came to my workplace with that crap. We'd laugh at you.

| I just want to know why they are suing the game maker and Wal-mart when we all know that the game had the Mature lable on it. Why not sue the parents that let their kids play the game. Also, they got the gun from one of their parents right?
Those kids were inept. They shot the people, because of that not because GTAIII showed them how.

| I wish that these losers would stop blaming the video games and put the blame where it belongs....the parents of these two idiots. Obvisoly the parents need to take better precautions in where they store their firearms and need to take the time to teach their kids some common sense and that shooting randomly at cars or semis on the highway is not a smart thing to do. But after all you have to remeber that in today's society it's not the parent's fault, it's Sony's and Wal-Mart's because they have the $$$$$$. | |

| There is a lot of good points on both sides of this problem. on one side it seems to make no since to blame on Sony and Wal-Mart, because they had nothing to do with the incident. On the other hand, these kids were acting out a scean in the game and like any actor their job is to make the play come to life, and bring it life they did. The lawyer's point is that if that scean were not in the game this most likely would have happened. He might have a point there. | |

| I know 10 year olds that play GTAIII and even they know the difference between reality and video games. It's just sad that people blame childrens problems on video games.
mindmesh and maxmax pointed out that their parents being the issue....this is most likely the problem. very little values or morals inforce by the family of the 2 kids. The parents might even get sued by the families of those killed by these 2 mental midgets. Most people have played video games but are not dumb enough to go out and reinact them. well, not in some cases. I know got some ideas when I played excitebike but I didn't go jump on turtles after playing super mario.
It's just common sense....people are losing what little they have of it.

| I am going to open up one of those cyber cafe things and allow kids to come in and play violent games that their parents don't let them. It works much better then trying lure kids into a car with candy. | |

| I think this makes a great point on some parints today. They are so unwilling to take responsabilty on where they have gone wrong with there kids and their actions how could these kids even have had a chance to know whats right and wrong? They have grown up watching their parints cas blame on others for their wrongs. | |

| Come live in the 'No fault society', where nothing ever, ever is your fault. Where spending time with your kids and teaching them whats right from wrong is an option.
Because lets face it, raising Kids is hard, and besides there are so many other things much more fun to do.
Who knows, you could be the next winner, er I mean victim that can be on the recieving end of a multi-million dollar Law suit.
Just smile patheticly, and say " hey, not my fault ".

| I think in a lot of lawsuits theres a sharp lawyer in the background telling people that its not their own stupidity, its that they are a victim. | |
| me? I dunno... 2003-10-23, 3:53 pm |
| Maybe Wal-Mart could offset their liability by packaging bubble gum cigarettes in the same blister pack as the software?
maybe even include a .45 auto water pistol for fun
all the child has to add is his/her own booze...

cyber cafes are in one place and it's easier to get caught....you can hook some games systems and a tv in a van and lure them with candy and games.....much better. the mobile video game arcade/candy store/pedafile pad. oh what joy it will bring to all the lil boys and girls....... |
