| If you are an Eastern European, you will certainly get a job. While my fellow American born folks moan and groan, I see Eastern Europeans, Koreans, Pakistanis, Chinese, come here with absolutely nothing and adhere to the priciple that failure is not an option. While others are at the movies or at the beach, they are working around the clock to succeed. When I attended my son's graduations, every magna cum laude was an Asian. A recent study was done among various ethnic groups which asked what school grade was considered disappointing. Among Asians the grade was A minus. | |

| No Pain! No Gain!
U want to enjoy life, but need money. Without money, you can't do a d*mn thing (movie, car, food). Only people that work toward their goal get reward.
So, did u get the job? | |

| Job hunting truly is hell. I spend all of September looking (about 300 resumes/coverletters) and then.. bam, one day, 3 people called me asking for interviews (and was eventually offered 2 of the jobs). I'm sure people at my office supply store were wondering why I was going through cartridges weekly.

Why i was writing it was because I hope those guys who write threads like "'i am so pissed and discouraged'"
will get an idea that you cannot just sit home and wait a job to fall on your mouth;
Education will not get you a job;
Certifications and degrees dont get you a job;
YOU have to get job yourself by when having a chance doing everything imaginably possible to prove that you are better for applicable job than other competitors by showing your knowledge and iniative
OF course I did not do it all alone - thank you for my school for finding the opporunity and thnx for my friends by giving me a lots of advice and pushing me to do some things (which i did not like at first - eg. waking at 5.30am and going to jobinterview which was not even scheduled yet...) | |

| Congratulations on your job and thanks for proving that failure is not an option. |
