OK there are some out there like me who will not purchase the full-blown version of Adobe but still want to create PDF files.

If you are in this situation go to

http://www.bcltechnologies.com

and register for free then they will automatically do this for you when you request in a very short time (took about 30 seconds).

They also convert XLS and CAD files (very handy).

You can view PDF files on your Palm or other PDA device with a free reader from Adobe available at:

Thanks for the link. I use ghostcript to convert postscript files to PDFs for free. If I can print it, I can convert it

I have wondered about Ghostscript. Is it difficult to congigure?

Not in Unixland. I haven't tried it on any other platforms though.

I am taking Linnux+ next and am going to put Linnux on another PC I have sitting around. If possible I will try it then.
